Regina City police responded to a domestic disturbance on new year’s eve on the 100 block of Froom crescent in Regina.

This call led to the alleged assault of a police officer.

Two sisters had been fighting and one of them was found with injuries consistent with a physical assault. During the altercation a laptop had alegedly been thrown against a wall and damaged.

A 24 year old woman was arrested and then proceeded to spit on a police officer.

The woman has been charged with assault causing bodily harm, mischief under $5000 and assault of a peace officer.

The accused is scheduled for a court appearance in February.
