WHL suspends activities for Moose Jaw, Red Deer and Edmonton due to COVID-19 concerns

COVID-19 has caused the WHL to suspend activities for the Moose Jaw Warriors, Red Deer Rebels and Edmonton Oil Kings.

In a news release the league said the decision was made after multiple COVID-19 positive tests on all three teams.

So far a total of five games have been postponed.

As a result on Friday Moose Jaw will not play in Lethbridge and Red Deer will not host Edmonton.

Saturday sees Moose Jaw and Medicine Hat postponed along with Lethbridge and Red Deer.

This news follows that of the Swift Current Broncos, who also had to be shutdown on December 30th due to COVID-19.
