Penny Barker claimed the 2022 Viterra Scotties Provincial Championship by defeating Chelsea Carey in the final 7-5 in Assiniboia on Sunday afternoon.

Barker had to win twice on Sunday as her rink defeated Amber Holland in an extra end 4-2 earlier on Sunday morning.

With the victory yesterday, Barker will represent Saskatchewan at the Scottie Tournament of Hearts that is taking place in Thunder Bay beginning on January 28.

Barker’s rink consists of Danielle Sicinski at Lead, Jenna Enge at Second, and Christie Gamble at Third.
