Two men are facing firearm charges following an investigation that began with a traffic stop by Regina Police,

On Monday morning at around 12:45 AM, police stopped a vehicle on the 1200 block of Albert Street. In the front passenger seat, police spotted a firearm.

The two men were removed from the vehicle while a search was carried out. Officers located a large hunting knife under the driver seat. Both men were charged following the investigation.

34 year old Joshua Bird from Kamloops is facing a pair of possession of firearm charges.

22 year old Walker Rennie from the Punnichy area is facing several charges including possession of firearms,
