Charges laid in murder of 46 year old Jennifer Hendry

Charges have been laid in a homicide that took place on January 8th in the northern village of Air Ronge.

The body of 46-year-old Jennifer Hendry was found by police after a call was placed.

The RCMP major crimes unit arrested a teenage male from the La Ronge area in connection to the investigation – the teen is unable to be named under the youth criminal justice act.

The accused is being charged with 1 count of robbery and 1 count of first-degree murder.

The next court appearance for the teen will be on January 27th.
