On December 25th of 2021 the SLGA computer network was targeted in a cyber attack.

Upon learning of the incident the SLGA quickly took steps to secure it’s system and mitigate the impact on data.

An independent cyber security expert has been retained by the SLGA and an investigation is being conducted. The initial results of the investigation indicate that some personal information of employees may have been accessed by an unauthorized third party.

The SLGA is communicating with current and past employees who may have been affected – providing credit monitoring services for them.

While the investigation has not shown this information was used by the third party – these steps are being taken out of caution.
