Regina’s Mitch Picton had his best CFL season ever in 2021. He’ll have a chance to follow it up in 2022.
The Riders announced they have signed the wide receiver to a contract extension. It will be his third CFL season.
Picton appeared in 10 regular-season games in 2021, catching 25 passes for 218 yards. He scored his first career touchdown in Week 2 against the Ticats.
The Riders have also signed defensive back Godfrey Onyeka to an extension. Onyeka took over the starting job at SAM linebacker in Week five against Winnipeg. He appeared in nine games making 24 tackles.
The 27 year old is entering his fourth CFL season.
