Riders and Fajardo agree to restructured contract

Cody Fajardo is helping the Saskatchewan Roughriders free up some cap space.

The QB and the team agreed to a restructured contract for the upcoming 2022 season.

Fajardo signed an extension with the Green and White last January after originally signing with the team in 2019.

This past season, Fajardo finished third in the CFL in passing yards with 2,970 yards and was tied for second in the CFL with 14 touchdowns.

Fajardo has been selected as the Western Most Outstanding Player in 2019 and has been voted the Roughriders Most Outstanding Player twice.

Free agency in the CFL begins on February 8.
