The Regina Pats lost heartbreakingly last night to the Lethbridge Hurricanes.
With 2.3 seconds left in regulation, Hurricanes defenceman Joe Arntsen scored on the powerplay to give Lethbridge the 5-4 win.
The loss marked Regina’s fourth straight loss and another game in which the Pats blew an early lead.
Ryker Evans and Cole Dubinsky would give Regina a two-goal lead. The Hurricanes would score three goals in five minutes to jump ahead, with Ryker Evans scoring his second game and tying the game up heading into the third.
The Hurricanes would retake the lead with Stanislav Svozil scoring to tie the game up once again, before Arntsen’s late-game heroics.
Dubinsky would have a three-point point for the Pats, with Connor Bedard picking up two assists.
The Pats will continue their Alberta road trip as they face the Calgary Hitman on Sunday.
