Riders get Derrick Moncrief back

The Riders are getting back linebacker Derrick Moncrief. And they hope to never let him go.

Moncrief returns to the Riders on a two-year contract. He spent last season with the Elks after returning from the Los Angeles Rams.

The 28 year old became a star during his three years in Saskatchewan. He was a CFL All Star in 2019 after racking up 69 tackles, four sacks and three interceptions.

He joins a linebacking corps including the newly-signed Darnell Sankey and the returning Micah Teitz.

The Riders also announced they’ve re-signed offensive lineman Josiah St. John. St. John was the regular sixth offensive lineman and drew a lot of praise from Head Coach Craig Dickenson.
