The Regina Police have launched a death investigation after discovering the body of a deceased woman.

Early Wednesday morning at around 3:00 am Police were dispatched to the 700 block of Garnet Street on an assist citizen call.

Police found a deceased woman upon arriving. They have requested additional services to determine the identity of the body.

Once their identity has been confirmed, police said they will notify this individual’s next of kin.

The Saskatchewan Coroners Service will be working with Regina Police on the investigation.
