After two years of challenges due to COVID-19, Canada’s Farm Show is set to return to an in person event this summer at EVRAZ Place.
The event will highlight agricultural technology, and the path forward for a new generation of farmers.
REAL President and CEO- Tim Reid made the announcement Tuesday morning.
“It is so exciting to get back to talking about doing the things we love. Since 1884 our organization has been bringing people together to talk about agriculture. The trucks have changed, the screens are bit bigger – but we are doing the thing we always have, celebrating the most incredible agriculture we have in this country – right here in Regina Saskatchewan.”
Reid says this opportunity for business to come to our community and grow Saskatchewan GDP and agriculture is vital.
Viterra continues to be the title sponsor for the event in a continued partnership. VP of public relations for Viterra Jeff Cockwill spoke to the importance of agriculture to the province.
“It’s important to keep telling our story, and help people understand how critical agriculture is to our daily lives. This show is one of the ways we can continue to tell our story.”
The three day event will feature key note speakers – including Dragon’s Den judge, celebrity chef, and entrepreneur Vikram Vij. Vij will be judging the 24-Hour Ag Tech Challenge.
On the tech front this years show will also feature the AgTech Accelerator Demo Day, and the 24-hour Ag Tech challenge powered by Cultivator.
