The Regina Police Service has charged one person with murder following a homicide in October of last year.

On October 13, 2021, police were dispatched to the 1700 block of Ottawa Street, where they found 24-year-old Peri Redwood of Regina dead.

Major Crimes investigators, assisted by numerous other sections within the Regina Police Service, investigated the case leading to 23-year-old Hope Cyr of the Punnichy District being arrested and charged with second-degree murder on February 23.

Cyr made her first court appearance on February 24.
