Riders add two to defense

The Riders have added to their defensive line and backfield for the coming season.

The team signed American defensive tackle Miles Brown on Friday. The 24 year old was an undrafted free agent of the Arizona Cardinals in 2019. He played nine games for the team that season.

He subsequently spent time with the Tennessee Titans and Detroit Lions.

The 6’2″, 320 pounder will compete for a spot at defensive tackle in training camp.

The Riders also announced the signing of American defensive back Josh Nurse.

Nurse was an undrafted free agent of the Baltimore Ravens in 2020. He played two games for the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The 25 year old signed with the Stampeders before training camp in 2021. The team waived him last July.
