The Saskatchewan Games Council along with the Regina Host Committee have announced the Saskatchewan Winter Games that were originally scheduled for 2022, will now take place in 2023 in Regina.

The 2022 edition of the Winter Games was cancelled following the advice of the Saskatchewan Health Authority following the rising COVID-19 cases with the Omicron variant.

It is expected the economic spinoff from the weeklong event to be in the range of  $3 million.

The event will take place from February 19-25, 2023.
