Once again, Saskatchewan opened its heart for TeleMiracle.
The 46th edition of the charity fundraiser set a new record for donations, when all was said an done Sunday Afternoon.
The total board read “$8,002,722”.
“Saskatchewan people are known for their generosity and this year, they came together to set an all-time TeleMiracle record,” says TeleMiracle 46 Chair Steve Kirwan. “The impact of these donations will be felt across the province and to everyone who gave this year, I can’t thank you enough”.
The record number was helped, by a record single donation, almost 1.8 million dollars.
The annual charity drive has been running since 1977, featuring talent from Saskatchewan in a multi-hour drive to raise money for specialized medical and mobility equipment, and assistance with medical travel. The funds are administered by the Kinsmen.
The Foundation typically receives over 1,000 applications for assistance from people in Saskatchewan each year.
