Trudeau visits Europe to assess Russian invasion of Ukraine

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau will be in Europe throughout the week to assess the latest of the Russian attack of Ukraine.

Trudeau arrived in London on Sunday and will begin a four country tour of Europe.

On Monday, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson will meet with Trudeau along with their Dutch counterpart. Trudeau will also meet with the NATO Secretary General.

Canada along with its NATO allies have continued to not answer Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s request to make Ukraine a no fly zone.

A fall out war in Europe would erupt if that were to happen according to NATO.

A cease order fire has been issued Russia on Monday in which they will allow civilians the opportunity to flee Ukraine.

The Russian defense ministry says cease fire talks would begin  as they allow Ukrainians the chance to leave the country, but the Russian side says the evacuation routes they will be offering will be funneled through either Russia or is ally Belarus.

Ukrainian authorities have rejected the proposals. There is not much hope the talks from the two sides will bring an end to the ongoing conflict

The United Nations is now reporting over 1.5 million residents have fled Ukraine since the attacks from Russia began.

VISA is the latest group that is taking actions against Russia.

They announced they will be working to end all transactions within Russia within the next few days.

Mastercard has also suspended their services in Russia.
