Pats edge Hurricanes thanks to winning Whitehead goal

A timely goal from Braxton Whitehead helped the Regina Pats win 4-3 over the visiting Lethbridge Hurricanes last night at the Brandt Centre.

Whitehead scored the game winner with four and a half minutes left in the game to break a 3-3 tie.

Connor Bedard, Zack Stringer and Cole Dubinsky scored the other goals for the Pats. Bedard, currently tied for fifth in the WHL in goals with 35, was named first star of the game with a goal and an assist.

Justin Hall, Jett Jones and Nolan Bentham replied for the Hurricanes.

The Pats are back in action tonight with a home date against the Calgary Hitmen.
