Survey by REAL laying out path for Brandt Centre 2.0

The Regina Exhibition Association Limited  released the results of a continued public survey, as they try and plot out the future of  the Brandt Centre.

REAL CEO and president Tim Reid says the survey gave the current iteration of the centre a 3 out of 5 rating. This is something Reid says is notable considering the age of the facility.

“The building got a 3 out of 5. Which is pretty good. Works ok for Hockey, works ok for concerts, it’s not spectacular, but it is a place we all have become accustomed to going for live sports and entertainment events,” Reid continued “at 44 years, this is probably a good time to be having a discussion about what comes next”

The survey has been running for the last four weeks, and had more than 5,300 responses. Respondents identified the Brandt center as a very important asset to the city.

This is the first phase of public consultation for the centre. The public is being asked to fill out a new more detailed survey that will see the results being released in April.

A public forum on the future of the Brandt Center will be conducted March 23rd at the Co-Operators Centre.

The survey can be accessed here.
