Premier Scott Moe leaves Saturday for a trade mission to Europe

Premier Scott Moe leaves on a trade mission to parts of Europe Saturday.

Moe will be in the United Kingdom and Germany to reinforce the critical role Saskatchewan can play in food security and energy security as a sustainable partner.

The week-long trade mission will officially open Saskatchewan’s new Trade and Investment Office in London, which will play an even more critical role as supply chains continue to be disrupted across Europe.

The Premier will meet with investors from the business community in Frankfurt on Thursday, notably K plus S potash, the largest investor in Saskatchewan to date.

Moe says the UK is an important trading partner for Saskatchewan, pointing to ongoing farm products and food ingredient exports.

The mission will also highlight Saskatchewan as a top destination for investment.

The Premier says Saskatchewan is a global leader in agriculture biosciences and agri-food research.

He adds the province has been named Canada’s most attractive jurisdiction for oil and gas development.

The Premier will also highlight the Vaccine and Infectious Disease organization as one of the most advanced research centres to prevent and contrl human and animal disease.

Premier Moe’s delegation leaves Saturday and returns on Friday of next week.
