A new candidate has emerged in the race for leadership of the provincial NDP – and she believes change in Saskatchewan is going to start with her.
Kaitlyn Harvey announced her run for leadership via twitter and her website. Born and raised in Prince Albert her focus is on justice for young and vulnerable people.
Harvey is a Metis Lawyer and climate activist. She believes there is an urgent need for a holistic response to the social, health, economic and climate challenges facing Saskatchewan families. Harvey had a previous run for the party in Saskatoon-Willowgrove.
She joins MLA Carla Beck as a potential leadership candidate – Beck welcomed Harvey via Twitter.
I want to welcome Kaitlyn Harvey to the leadership race and a good discussion about building an inspiring alternative to the Sask. Party.
As I’ve said all along, to build, win, and deliver again, we need more people, more listening, and more ideas.
We are Stronger. Together.
