The search continues for 5 year old Frank Young of the Red Earth Cree Nation.
Resources and personnel from across the province have been converging on the community scouring the land on foot and from the sky.
During a press conference held today members of the community as well as representatives from the RCMP provided an update on the continued search.
The 5 year old boy was last seen on Tuesday afternoon at around 12:30 in his front yard on the reserve.
Over the course of the last few days efforts to find the boy have been aided with technology. From the air drones and thermal imaging cameras have been able to spot “objects of interest” none of which pertained to the search for the young boy.
Shoal Lake Chief Marcel Head was able to speak to the family this morning.
“You can imagine the thought pattern that they are going through. They’re totally devastated, and appreciative of all the support, the counseling and people talking to them. They realize there are a considerable amount of people praying for them.”
The family is asking for privacy during this time as they continue the search for their son.
Young is described as 4 feet tall 66 pounds, Paw Patrol rubber boots, dinosaur pyjamas with a windbreaker.
If you have information pertaining to the search for Frank please contact the Carrot River RCMP or authorities at the Red Earth Cree Nation.
