Touchdown Atlantic Sells Out in an Hour

There may be pent up demand for CFL football on the east coast of this huge country.

Tickets for the CFL’s Touchdown Atlantic game went on sale this morning, and an hour later all of the tickets were gone.

“We’re blown away by Atlantic Canada’s passion for Canadian football,” said CFL Commissioner Randy Ambrosie.  “From our football celebrations for the whole family, to the action and energy of the big game, we wanted this year’s Touchdown Atlantic to offer something for everyone. And all our fans throughout the East Coast and across the country have responded with a firm and resounding message, welcoming CFL football back to this incredible part of the country.”

The game is between the Saskatchewan Roughriders and the Toronto Argonauts, and is being played at Acadia University in Wolfville Nova Scotia.  The school’s stadium capacity has been increased to ten thousand for this game.

It will be played July 16th.
