CFL and Players still have no deal

The start of the main training camp for CFL teams is up in the air, as the collective bargaining agreement is about to expire.

Media reports indicate the league is going to table a new proposal to the players association tomorrow.  The players rejected the last offer, which essentially was a ten year deal, with no increase in the salary cap, and the elimination of the Canadian ratio.

The CFLPA is telling players not to report to training camp until after a deal is reached.

Rookies are expected to report to the Saskatchewan Roughriders camp in Saskatoon, tomorrow.  With the main camp scheduled to open Sunday.

The Riders are scheduled to play their first exhibition game Monday, May 23rd at Mosaic Stadium against the defending champs from Winnipeg.
