Sillinger helps Canada to win over Germany

Cole Sillinger and Team Canada had a triumphant start to the World Hockey Championships with a 5-3 win over Germany.

The Hockey Regina product scored the game’s first goal to help push Canada to the victory.

Pierre-Luc Dubois scored two, while Kent Johnson and former Moose Jaw Warrior and Prince Albert Raider Noah Gregor scored the other goals.

Canada has Saturday off before battling Italy Sunday morning.
