Premier Moe calls Kenney’s resignation the ‘loss of a good leader’

Saskatchewan’s Premier is calling Jason Kenney’s resignation a ‘loss.’

This week, Kenny resigned as both the Premier of Alberta and the Leader of the United Conservative Party (UCP) after narrowly winning his leadership review.

“Jason Kenney is a very strong leader,” Scott Moe said. “He’s achieved a number of things that he set out to achieve in a very short period of time on behalf of Albertans.”

Kenney received 51.4 per cent approval from UCP members, with exactly 34,298 members voting in the review.

Moe believes we haven’t seen the last of Kenney.

“This is a loss of a good leader, an individual that has been a very capable and competent politician for decades, and I wouldn’t think we’ve seen the last of Jason Kenney.”
