Regina-based Farm Credit Canada is offering up to 2 thousand dollars to cattle producers who are certified for sustainability production.
The director of sustainability programs at FCC, Curtis Grainger, says eligible producers must be customers of FCC.
He says the certified program revolves around five principles, including natural resources, people and community, animal health, food and innovation.
Grainger says it takes 6 to 9 months for cattle producers to be certified by the Canadian Roundtable for Sustainable beef.
