The Regina Public School Division has provided an update after shutting down its systems earlier this week.
“After several days of investigation, it has become clear that the school division was the victim of a cyber security attack on May 22,” the school division said in a release.
All public communication will continue to be shared through the Regina Public School’s Facebook and Twitter accounts.
“The school division has retained cybersecurity professionals to assist and is using industry best practices in this matter,” they added.
Information for families will be communicated through schools, and parents and caregivers are encouraged to continue to report any student absences by telephone to schools.
