There will be a celebration of the gridiron game within the province this September.

September 16-17 will be football weekend in Saskatchewan.

The Roughriders made the announcement alongside Football Saskatchewan and representatives from the Rams, Huskies, Thunder and Hilltops on Saturday in Saskatoon.

The weekend starts with the Rider game against Edmonton Elks on Friday night, followed by a Saturday afternoon game between the Prairie Thunder and the Saskatoon Hilltops, and then a game Saturday evening between the University of Regina Rams and the University of Saskatchewan Huskies .

A live music event between the Saturday games will also take place at Confederation Park, with the artist to be announced later.

Fans will be able to buy bundled ticket packages for all three games during Football Weekend in Saskatchewan.
