APAS is calling on government to extend the Saskatchewan Crop Insurance seeding completion deadline.
President Ian Boxall says some areas of the province are hard-hit by too much moisture and seeding is running late.
He says the deadline varies by crop, and the crop insurance seeding deadline should be extended seven to ten days.
Boxall says the crop insurance seeding deadline has been extended in the past and it should be done again.
He says the world needs crops from Saskatchewan to help avoid food shortages.
