Regina Police looking for assistance in possible bear spraying incident

Regina Police is asking help from the public about an incident where two people were sprayed with a substance believed to be bear spray.

On Monday afternoon, shortly after 5:30, police received a report of a weapons offence on the 1400 block of Retallack Street.

A police investigation determined a man was inside of a house when he heard a woman screaming outside, when the man went outside a young man sprayed both individuals with a substance believed to be bear spray.

Because of the substance, the two individuals were not able to identify the suspect who sprayed them.

The female victim did report seeing a Jeep, with three occupants, at the south end of the alley behind 1400 block Retallack, but it’s not known if this vehicle or its occupants had anything to do with the assault with the bear spray.

If you have information on this crime, you are asked to contact Regina Police or Regina Crime Stoppers.
