Red Sox blank 57’s to win home opener

The Regina Red Sox provided the fireworks on Tuesday night as they won their home opener against the Swift Current 57’s 6-0

Braden Houston earned the victory for the Red Sox as he pitched seven shutout innings while allowing three hits and picking up eight strikeouts.

The offence was led by first baseman Cade Nelson who collected a pair RBIs with three hits.

Shortstop Zane Zielinski had a pair of hits with a run scored along with a RBI. The Red Sox offence ended the evening with 12 hits.

The Red Sox and Swift Current will meet once again tonight at Currie Field, opening pitch is set for 7:05.
