Prince Albert police have arrested and charged a 15-year-old boy with second-degree murder in connection with a weekend murder

The youth was arrested on Wednesday night and he made his first appearance in Prince Albert provincial court on Thursday morning, according to a police statement

On Saturday night Prince Albert police were called to a report of a weapons offence when they found 47-year-old man with serious injuries.

The man was taken to hospital, where he later died as a result of his injuries.

Police have identified the victim as Barry Pruden.
