City of Regina releases employee salaries for 2021

The City of Regina has released its public accounts report for 2021, including a list of salaries and expenses for employees who work with and for the City.

The report was presented to Regina’s executive committee. It included the salaries of City of Regina employees, including members of the Regina Police Service (RPS), REAL and others.

The information in the report is included for employees earning $50,000 or more, which may also comprise vacation or sick credits, allowances, membership fees or other amounts.

Former City Manager Chris Holden held the top spot in 2021, earning $297,951 before being dismissed by the City in February 2022.

Next up was Tim Reid, the president and CEO of REAL, who earned $295,432, with Police Cheif Evan Bray rounding out the top three as he made $287,899.

A look at the rest of the top ten:

  • Diana Hawryluk, executive director of city planning and community development, $246,005
  • Barry Lacey, executive director of financial strategy and sustainability, $243,631
  • Pamela Deck, director of corporate strategy and performance, $241,860
  • Kim Onrait, executive director of citizen services, $238,536
  • Byron Werry, city solicitor, $228,325
  • Louise Folk, executive director of people and transformation, $225,018

Mayor Sandra Masters had a salary of $150,217 in 2021. Each city councillor got a base salary of $49,818.
