Restaurant break-in leads to charges for youths and 18-year-old

Three youths and one adult have been charged with break and enter after a business break in in northwest Regina early Thursday.

At about 2 a.m. Thursday, patrol officers were called to an alarm at a restaurant in the 4400 block of Rochdale. No suspects were there but police got a description on video of a pair of male suspects.

They discovered a few hours later on an unrelated call a male in a vehicle on McCarthy and ninth avenue north matched the description of one of the suspects.

One male was arrested and another ran, but he was tracked by a canine team and arrested.

Two young females, 15 and 17, were also arrested and charged with break and enter.

A 17-year-old male is charged with break and enter, obstructing a police officer, resisting arrest and breach of probation. The youths, who can not be named, made their first court appearances Friday.

While 18-year-old Dakota James Button is charged with break and enter and obstructing an officer. he made his first appearance Friday.
