The Oats industry is getting a big boost in Saskatchewan.

Avena Foods of Regina is part of a group of companies that will expand oat based foods to new beverages, yogurts and frozen desserts.

Protein Industries Canada is providing half million dollars to the cost of development.

CEO Bill Greuel says farmers will see expanded markets for their grain.

The project will cost one million dollars.
