Donations Pour in to Help Ukrainians

Back in April Ray Rawlyk of Moose Jaw organized a fundraiser to help the Red Cross Ukraine Humanitarian Crisis Appeal assist Ukrainians who are fighting a war with Russia.

Rawlyk worked with the City of Moose Jaw, who helped with some of the costs of putting on the fundraiser.  Rawlyk raised more than 10 thousand dollars during the fundraiser in April, and now the City of Moose Jaw has added to the total.

At a cheque presentation yesterday, the city was able to hand over $2,360.78.  The City also held its own fundraising dinner in March at Mosaic Place.  It raised more than 5 thousand dollars for the Red Cross Appeal.

That means more than 18 thousand dollars in help for Ukrainians is coming from the Moose Jaw area.
