This year’s Saskatchewan winners in the Outstanding Young farmer competition is a couple with a mixed cattle and certified organic grain farm near Wood Mountain.

Cody Straza and Allison Squires were selected Thursday during an event at the Farm Progress show in Regina.

Their farm is called Upland Organics and has such features as reduced tillage, intercropping, cover cropping, pollinator strips and rotational grazing.

They have become leaders in organic farming and will represent Saskatchewan at the national Outstanding Young Farmers competition this fall.
