Two drivers taken to hospital after collision at Wadena

Shortly after 8 o’clock Friday morning, Wadena RCMP responded to a two-vehicle collision that happened at the intersection of Highway 35 and Highway 5 in Wadena.
After an investigation, it was determined a half-ton pick-up truck and a car collided when the car travelling west on Highway 5 drove through the intersection at a rate of speed without stopping for the stop sign.
Responding officers provided first aid to the two drivers who were the sole occupants of their vehicles. The two drivers were taken to hospital with serious, but non-life threatening injuries.
EMS crews, STARS Air Ambulance and Wadena Fire all assisted police at the scene.
