Free and rapid counselling services expanding to eight locations

The Government of Saskatchewan has expanded Family Services Saskatchewan (FSSK) to bring free, rapid access counselling services to eight additional locations in the South and West Central regions.

The expansion is part of over $1.4 million in annual funding to FSSK to deliver its Rapid Access Counselling Program. Moose Jaw Family Services will provide the program on select days in Moose Jaw, Gravelbourg and Assiniboia. West Central Family Services will be based in Kindersley and deliver services in Biggar, Leader, Rosetown and Unity.

The program is available for individuals, couples and families needing support with mental health challenges ranging from stress and depression to family conflict, addictions and domestic violence.

With the expansion, 23 communities are now offering the service from 2019-20.
