Storm Knocked Out Power In Regina

A strong thunderstorm rolling through Regina early this morning,  knocked out power to almost half of the city.

The storms brought thunder, lightning, heavy rain, and some good wind gusts.

Sask Power’s Outage Map showed most of the west side of the city, west of Albert Street is in the dark this hour.

The power came back on just after 6 am this morning.

As for the storm itself, the weather system should be moving through fairly quickly, and Regina will have a mostly sunny day.

So far there are no other reports of damage from the storm, but there are a few corners with big puddles here and there.
