Over 3,000 still without power after Friday storms

After a whole lot of storms Friday night, SaskPower still has some customers without power.
About 3,040 were still out as of 7 p.m. Saturday night, according to a media release from SaskPower. This was after SaskPower crews worked to restore power to some 6,000 others affected by the storm.
Rural areas south of Whitewood can expect to have their power back by noon, Rocanville by 2 p.m., rural areas southwest of Wapella by 5 and Sakimay First Nation by 6 p.m.

“Localized damage may also result in some customers remaining without power even after the primary repairs are completed. Customers who continue to experience an outage after their area has been restored should call SaskPower’s outage centre at 310-2220,” said the release.
