Last night, south of Saskatoon, a candlelight vigil was held for missing Federation of Sovereign Indian Nations CEO Dawn Dumont, also known as Dawn Dumont Walker, and her seven year old son Vincent. They have been missing for five days.
Dumont was last seen at a business in Saskatoon, last Friday. It’s been reported by members of the FSIN that Dumont was traveling to Edmonton to see Pope Francis. Her suitcase, and personal affects were found at her home, and her Red F150 truck was found in Chief Whitecap Park along the bank of the South Saskatchewan river.
At a news conference yesterday Dumont’s Sister Patricia Dorian gave an passionate plea for more information from the public.
“If anyone has seen anything at all, please let us know, or let the RCMP know”
RCMP Staff SGT Greg Abbott said the search is focused on the area near where the truck was located – using water and air search teams. Though no evidence of foul play has been found – the FSIN is not ruling it out.
