A 64 year old Regina man is facing charges after an investigation into allegations of sexual assault against a young person.

On June 18, 2022, police were called to investigate the report of a sexual assault on a young person. It was learned that the sixty-four year-old man held a position of trust with the victim’s family and had sexually assaulted the youth.

64 year old Edwin Woolhether now faces charges.

The accused made his first appearance on these charges in Provincial Court this morning.

Police say there is the potential there are other unreported victims.
