A Regina man is facing gun charges after a scary incident occurred in the early hours of Monday morning.

Police responded to a call of an armed male inside of a residence on the 900 block of McDonald Street.

Police surrounded the house and were able to negotiate with 4 people inside to leave, one of them being identified as having earlier threatened the others with a gun and fired shots outside.

The suspect male was on three separate firearms prohibitions. Subsequent investigation led to several charges for 25 year old Kaj Sparvier of Regina.

Sparvier made his first court appearance on these charges in Provincial Court at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, August 2, 2022.
