Saskatchewan Roughriders’ defensive end Pete Robertson was at practice Tuesday after missing the club’s last three games due to a foot sprain.
Robertson was injured in Week 5 on an illegal hit by Ottawa offensive tackle Dino Boyd. Robertson, who was leading the league in sacks at the time of his injury, admits it wasn’t easy watching from the sideline. ” It was very tough watching, knowing that we have a lot of guys down. Hopefully I get out there this weekend and make things happen. As for the dirty hit that put him on the injury list, Robertson has no anger towards Boyd, ” I’d do the same thing if I was playing against me!”
The 4-4 Roughriders are trying to snap a 3-game slide this Saturday in Edmonton and many fans are worried about the direction of the team but the 29-year-old defensive end doesn’t listen to the outside noise. ” I’m going to be honest; I don’t have social media so the only thing I know is what the media tells me! If we’re being disrespected 45 is back so, we’ll handle it.
