30 year old Michael Swan Thorne is facing numerous weapons charges – including unauthorized possession and reckless discharge of a weapon after he allegedly fired a gun at a home just after 7:45 Monday night.

Police responded to a call of shots being fired at a home on the 1300 block of Rae street – when police arrived Thorne fled on bicycle and was apprehended after a taser was used to subdue the man.

A loaded weapon and numerous rounds of ammunition were found in a backpack in Thorne’s possession.

Thorne makes his first court appearance Tuesday at 9:30am.
