As the war in Ukraine continues, Saskatchewan will be taking in another 200 Ukrainians who are trying to start a new life, in their new home.
Two charter flights will be arriving. The flights go direct from Warsaw, Poland to Edmonton. The they will arrive in Regina late tonight (Wednesday) or early Thursday morning.
Passengers will be have temporary accommodation in Regina to allow them access to supports in Saskatchewan.
A settlement reception centre will be available to provide answers and issue Saskatchewan health cards, set up bank accounts and provide information about housing and employment.
These two flights will bring the total number of displaced Ukrainians in Saskatchewan to 1,500 since the conflict started.
