Two flights touched down in Regina last night carrying 167 Ukrainians fleeing their war torn country.
Close to 1500 Ukrainian refugees have made their way to Saskatchewan at this point, with the expectation that more will be arriving in the future.
From this point everyone on the flight will be housed temporarily in Regina. The next steps for these individuals is to be set up with all of the things needed to begin their lives in Canada. From health cards, to bank accounts, as well as other community supports, the Saskatchewan government is working to set these individuals up for success here in Saskatchewan.
This recent flight once again was done in partnership with Open Arms and Solidaire.
