Boil water advisories in place for Saskatchewan communities

Several Saskatchewan communities were placed under boil water advisories this weekend.

The villages of Elbow, Strongfield, and Loreburn, as well as Danielson Provincial Park and Douglas Provincial Park were placed under the advisory.

The village of Pleasantdale is under an advisory as well and has been since August 2.

The province is saying this is a precautionary drinking water advisory, saying to boil water for at least a minute prior to use. This includes drinking, washing fruits and vegetables and brushing teeth.

The advisory is in effect until August 17th.
